In March 2020, the Kommand team attended ConExpo, North America’s largest construction trade show.
Held every three years in Las Vegas, the massive event features the latest equipment advances and newest technology applications in every aspect of construction.
Importantly, the event brings contractors, producers, service providers and other construction professionals together.
“We were there to immerse ourselves in the latest industry advancements, as well as connect with our existing partners,” said Gerry Kirkpatrick, Kommand’s Team Leader. “We only work with hand-picked trusted brands and it’s important to have close relationships.”
The team also investigated new products to advance the industry and earth-moving equipment here in Australia.
“We are constantly working to improve earthmoving projects and sites – as well as safe and smooth equipment operation – for our clients,” he said. “This was such a perfect opportunity and I wish we’d had a step counter! We spent more than three full days covering every corner of the event facilities and it paid off – we’ll have some fantastic new solutions to announce soon.”
The team arrived back on Australian soil just before mandatory hotel quarantine was enforced due to Coronavirus.
“We made it back without problems because we already had our return tickets booked and confirmed. Of course, we self-isolated at home for 14 days but we were lucky to make it home with ease and in good health.”
